And when I say alone, I am not referring to an aloneness resulting from a lack of people in our lives; rather I am highlighting an aloneness that speaks to a deeper yearning.
A yearning to be truly known, seen, and met.
A yearning to feel connected in a way that is beyond the usual.
If it's true we are distinct souls travelling together in an inextricably interconnected universe, but yet our daily interactions and connections are happening from inside a consciousness of separation (as though we are just distinct souls, minus the interconnected bit!) then this yearning makes perfect sense.
It's like we are so ready to actually see and hear each other from inside the truth of our profound unity. No longer separate beings trying to be known, but two parts of the same reality getting to know itself. As though we are two cells of the same body interacting. Talk about a whole other level of knowing each other!
For several years I have been learning and teaching about evolutionary embodiment and interconnectedness, and I have experienced firsthand that it is very possible to interact in this way. Not only possible, but life changing. And the implications for how it can change our world go deep.
It seems that this is what the next wave of evolution is bringing alive for all of us. The opportunity to literally see and meet each other as that - as two cells of the same body getting to know itself.
To embody together a shared consciousness, a profound unity.
To connect in wholeness and be seen in uniqueness.
When we connect in this way, we invite something true, something essential, and something divine to reveal itself, to anchor itself firmly inside our cells, our being. And in that moment of revelation, something divine in each of us is in turn called forth. A natural seeing, a natural intimacy, a sense of being truly known, and an abundant love comes alive when we engage together in this way. And it really is mind-blowing and incredible. Yet so familiar and so much like home at the very same time.
In the words of some of the people who have worked with me:
"This fundamental shift in consciousness, from I-centered to we-centered, is profound, so naturally evoking compassion, empathy, community building, peace building and the experience of unconditional love."
"I am excited about the possibilities that have opened up to me through connecting to others on a much higher level than I have experienced before. Being seen and heard in this way, and having the opportunity to truly see and hear others, has filled me with optimism and hope for the future."
Do you want to know more about connecting in truly shared consciousness with others? Do you want to learn to understand and embody this evolving consciousness of unity? My new course, Rising to the Evolutionary Invitation: A Call to the Connectors is designed for just that. If it calls you, let's find a time to talk.
