Why Curiosity Wins Over Perfection

16/3/2016

When the need to be perfect, and to get things "right" has woven out of our systems, taking with it the self doubt, self sabotage and apathy that were its companions, we are free to do and be all we came here to be.

As we embody more and more of our fullness, the need for perfection is replaced by openness, curiosity and the desire to expand and learn.

In this, we really can do anything. Perhaps not perfectly, perhaps not even well, but the curiosity and joy in the exploration is what drives us, NOT the need for perfection.
Perfectionism, and its driver, fear, can really stifle any movement forward. We can tend to get frustrated quickly, and adhere to the notion of "I can't do it perfectly, so I'm not going to do it at all".

In doing so, we immediately shut off our connection to that expanded field of awareness, and to our own truth and our own answers.

Have the courage to be imperfect
Instead, what if we tried saying “I know I can't do it perfectly, but I am curious about what I can do from exactly where I'm at.”

In this way, we approach life with a genuine sense of exploration and openness. This will immediately give permission to our expanded field of awareness to find and present the answers and inspiration we seek, and allow us to keep moving forward.

And thus we engage the true point of life - to be here, fully alive to all of it, fully trusting in our own sovereign, innate knowing, experiencing, tasting and partaking in the sweetness life offers in each fresh new moment.
